Hybrid Chapter 5: The Attack The next week went by smoothly. Togo and I hung out during the days. We became really close sharing stories from our past. We hunted together and did just about everything together. It was nice to have a friend again, especially someone I care really deeply for. I wondered off well before nightfall.. I didn't want to take any chances, and I would return in the morning.. It was evening when I awoke inside the cave. Togo was still napping. I decided I should probably head out before it got darker. I crept quietly out of the cave and trotted outta sight. I was standing in a clearing looking up at the sky as the sun was setting and I thought to myself. I haven't fed in a few days. I really should feed tonight. The sun set and my wings appeared and my fangs grew. I sniffed the air and froze, my fur standing on end. NO! It cant be. I whipped around to find a bright eyed Togo smiling at me. "Hey Saphira! ..Ive decided I.."
Hybrid Chapter 4: My Story I stay here nuzzled close to him not wanting to move. Not wanting to break that connection, but I pull away and smile at him. Thank you. That means more then you know, but Togo? You cant be near me at night.. You just cant. Togo folds his ears back and lowers his head. "Oh, why not? I know you wont hurt me." I fold my ears back as well. Im not so sure about that Togo.. I came close last night. "Yeah, but you didn't" Togo spoke up. I sigh and hang my head. I don't know if I can trust myself. I.. I don't know what id do if I hurt you. I shut my eyes tight trying not to think about it. Togo puts his paw on my back. "Saph its alright I can handle myself, but if you don't want me around at night. Ill respect your wishes." I open my eyes and look up at him, letting out a sigh of relief. Thank you. "Can I ask you a question?" Sure, go ahead. I said softly. "Well, how did you become part vampire? ."
Well a few years a
Hybrid Chapter 3: My secret I walk with Togo deep into the woods, trying to work up the courage to ask him about his fur color, but before I could say anything he stopped walking and turned to face me. "Ive always been orange Saphira. Since birth." I stopped in my tracks and stared at him.. Yeah, So have I.. Do.. Do you know why, Togo? I asked. Togo stared at me for second then finally spoke up "You mean you don't know? My mother told me when I was a pup." I looked at Togo, unable to say anything, but he spoke up again. "My mother believes theres this cave she stumbled apon while she was pregnant with me. She said it was filled with crystals that had dyed her fur an odd color, but the color wore off after a few weeks, but when I was born I was orange. It hasn't worn off since. Im guessing maybe the same is true for you.
I sat there for a while thinking about what Togo had just told me, wondering if that was really the cause of my blue fur. Hey
Hybrid Chapter 2: His name is TogoIt takes me sometime before im able to focus again as all these thoughts rush through my head. Ive made up my mind. I must meet this other wolf. I need to know more about him. Tomorrow morning I will set out to find him. As I start to stand I feel myself wobble a bit and my head starts to spin. I realize it must be close to midnight by now and I have yet to feed, my mouth is so dry its hard to swallow. I steady myself and stumble off deeper into the woods. I need to find something to feed on and fast. I can go days without feeding and be just fine, but the days must have gotten away from me, because im parched. As I stumble through the woods I come across a fairly large rabbit and I just manage to pounce on it before it sees me. I bare my fangs and bite into the side of the rabbits small neck, trying to be as gentle as I can, so not to kill it. I drink just enough to get my strength back and I release the rabbit, it springs up and hops away as quickly as possible.
Hybrid Chapter 1: The Orange Wolf I walked slowly through the woods with my head down. Night was approaching and I knew I would need to hunt soon. I came apon a clearing in the woods and strode over to the small lake in the middle. I look down at my reflection hoping to see a normal gray wolf, but instead I saw blue. I stare at my reflection as I think to myself; Ive been blue since birth, and while I love being different from every other wolf out there, its hard when everyone looks down on you for being different. Although im not sure that's what everyone looks down on me for. I look up to the sky just as the sun is setting behind the horizon, watching it for a few moments, lost in its beauty when suddenly I have a very sharp pain between my shoulder blades and in my canine teeth that snaps me back to reality. The pain only last a few seconds but I know what has caused them. I look down at my reflection again only to find I have sprouted two
